Student Organizations
Zane reached out yesterday and shared the mockup for migrating the Alpha Epsilon Delta content into the student organization template.
We discussed the concept of building a page with a filterable list of all of the organizations throughout the website, including the organizations under MD Student Services. This page will gather all of the organization pages throughout and the pages will not be placed under this listing page.
The filters may include:
- Searching the name of an organization
- Degree level (BS, MS, doctorate, etc.)
- Interest group
- Leisure group
- Service clubs
- Honor societies
- Focused initiatives (SHAPE, MUSHROOM, etc.)
We'll add a link to the list of University's organizations on this listing page.
Zane sent a Wufoo form to each group within the school which will hopefully reveal more student organizations to update and include in the list. Once we have these responses, the listing page will take about a week to build.
For the time being, the upcoming Alpha Epsilon Delta page will be placed at the root in Umbraco.
Athletic Training
As discussed in a previous meeting, several undergraduate and professional programs have a need to feature more videos beyond the 3 clips on each frontpage. Cassie mentioned the Athletic Training program in particular needing this capability.
We discussed building a custom template that presents videos in a "gallery" of video thumbnails dynamically fed from YouTube that link to each corresponding video on YouTube or building a more interactive video "gallery" of embedded YouTube videos.
