Department of Medicine

Faculty in the Department of Medicine have inquired about creating their own website outside of WVU and following the brand guidelines put in place by University Relations for not using WVU branding on external websites. Cassie questioned whether a website like this can or should be linked to from a profile in Directory and we let her know that this isn't preferred but it isn't prohibited.

Shawn also mentioned that the ability to add a person to a committee in Directory may be added early next Spring along with other updates.

MS Clarity

Shawn will add Bill as a team member for the School of Medicine in MS Clarity so that he can access it and hopefully create a report. He will also add Cassie and Zane using the school's vanity Gmail email address.

MD Program

As Cassie mentioned in the November communicator meeting, restructuring the MD Program area of the website is the next priority for her group.

Updating Umbraco

Shawn mentioned that the version of Umbraco we are using is very behind and that Umbraco needs to be updated due to potential security vulnerabilities, etc., and, in doing so, all of the websites will be moved into one central Umbraco.

Clinics

Shawn is getting Cassie and Zane access to add clinic pages in Umbraco. Once these clinics are added, several of the Patient Care links in the navigation on department pages in the School of Medicine website can be changed to point to these new clinic pages.
