Research and Graduate Education
As discussed in a previous meeting, Jess brought up how disorganized that the events in the Research and Graduate Education website have become. Shawn decided that all of the these events should be moved to WVU Calendar and very high level events will still utilize the "featured events" set up in the website.
We also discussed the outdated content on the homepage. Tara suggested that we meet with Nicole Beason monthly to discuss general content and upcoming events. She also suggested inviting Savannah Shriver since the School of Medicine is very involved with research and graduate education.
News
Jess inquired about addressing the issue with searching news stories in the WVU Health website not working every time. This is a known issue and will probably require the help of the ITS programming team to fix this and we're unsure of whether a member of this team will be available to help with this.
Chancellor
Tyler has created an Instagram account for Clay Marsh and he is trying to gain followers on Clay's Instagram and Linkedin accounts.
With the addition of Clay's instagram account on the Health Sciences Chancellor website, we will place Clay's social media links, along with the link to his blog, further up the page and probably under his photo in the Meet Clay area.
Information Technology Services website
We are reviewing the website support information on the Information Technology Services website and deciding which information should be moved to the Website Content Guide website before ITS takes over the ITS website. We are planning to restructure the Website Content Guide website and reach out to Jess for help with moving some information to the Communication Guide website.
WVU Alert
Jason is working on building the WVU Alert module to place on each website in the event of an emergency. We're also planning to build a Health Sciences specific alert page under the WVU Health website that will include the alerts for the other health sciences campuses.
