January 10, 2023 Meeting

Notes

Well-being

Jess will provide the summary of the Well-being Wheel to display under the Emotional heading that rounds out the Well-being page. Aside from this, the links to the WVU Calendar and Health Sciences well-being focused events are the only remaining items.

Chancellor

Jess will add information to the Chancellor website about Clay's involvement in the Department of Health and Human Resources.

STEPS

As mentioned in previous meetings, the STEPS website should be moved into the WVU Health family of websites and designating Bill as the editor.

While STEPS doesn't have the staff to handle communications and to develop extensive media for their website, the facility still needs to be marketed for recruitment in an external-facing website and throughout the school websites. A potential hub-like resources area could be set up for the internal-facing information with a small, 3-5 page promotional website for the external-facing audience.

Tyler reminded everyone that he create a video and media about the new operating room training in STEPS that should be highlighted on the website.

Simulation Week

Jess is working on a plan to gather content throughout the year to help promote Healthcare Simulation Week in September each year.

For schools

Schools should potentially create 1-2 profiles per year that focus on experiences training in STEPS. Guidelines for writing this type of profile can be added to the Communication Guide.

We will discuss the STEPS website during our Monthly Website Updates meeting on Wednesday, February 1st.

School of Dentistry renovations

Jess inquired about whether the School of Dentistry should use a specific template to showcase upcoming renovations. While there isn't a specific template for this, we agreed that it would be beneficial to present the meaning behind and impact of the renovations with interviews and such.

Rural Health

The migrated Institute for Community and Rural Health website is ready to be made live.

Faculty and Staff Assistance Program

Bill is migrating the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program website into an HSC Themed template.
