Another merger will be announced around 2pm tomorrow, August 10th, and this will include programs that are under review. This will also be communicated through Hub.
Welcome Week
We are working with the school communicators to review and update the Welcome Week pages.
Jess and Bill will update the featured request items at the top of the Paths to Well-being page. Tara mentioned that a QR code that links to the Well-being website will be included in welcome packs and the the "Ask Us Anything" tent during Welcome Week.
Jessica also updated the Student Health website with information for incoming students.
We are anticipating an up-tick in traffic for these pages during the coming weeks. Shawn scheduled a tentative meeting on August 23rd to review the analytics for the Student Health and Well-being pages in Google Analytics and Clarity to understand which resources users found helpful and what they are searching for.
School of Public Health
Nikky Luna is leaving on August 23rd. The budget has been approved for hiring for this open position and Tara will post the position in the coming days.
Videos
As discussed in a previous meeting, Tyler is working on a YouTube video to be posted this week that will need to be prominently displayed on the Student Health page.
Tyler is also working on a poverty simulation video to be posted on the Interprofessional Education homepage.
Editorial calendar
Cheyanne is working on a bank of featured request items to highlight at the top of the Paths to Well-being page throughout the year. She is also working on a list of ideas to feature on the WVU Health cover page throughout the year.
Upcoming Events
As discussed in a previous meeting, Diversity Week (September 17-23, 2023), Healthcare Simulation Week (September 18-22, 2023), and Global Health Week will overlap in September, and Week of Purpose is the week after (September 24-30, 2023).
These events will need to be promoted on a WVU Health cover at the same time.
Shawn suggested that we review the Diversity Week page with Courtney Lanham ahead of Diversity Week, and to touch base about potentially updating the Diversity website overall. Jess mentioned that Courtney has been working on the strategic initiatives for diversity.
World Scout Jamboree
Tyler is working on video about the Health Sciences schools' involvement in the Word Scout Jamboree in July. It was suggested to add this video to any community focused pages in each school website, including on the upcoming School of Nursing Community & Global Engagement page.
Tara suggested updating the photo at the top of the Community page in the WVU Health website with a photo from the jamboree.
Semi-annual communications meetings
Tara mentioned that HSC marketing will be meeting with the STEPS, Research and Graduate Education, and other groups to discuss communications for the upcoming semester.
Tuition
As discussed in a previous meeting, the provided 2023-24 tuition figures have been staged for review and Shawn will communicate the plan for rolling out these new figures to the school communicators and Azalea Hulbert.
