Notes

Paths to Well-being

Shawn mentioned that we have been working on a Paths to Well-being website ( https://health.wvu.edu/well-being/paths-to-well-being/ ) with Bill and Jess.  This will be a resource where faculty, staff, and students will be able to go for Well-being resources.

The filters will allow them to filter the resource listings in a similar manner as saying "I am a student, faculty, or staff seeking resources on vaccinations,  counseling, financial aid questions, etc".  It would filter all the result matches found based on their choices. We are still working on the filtering and we are still adding some service types of options.  Bill and Jess will finish adding the remaining 30 or so services to the list.  Once this is done and Clay signs off on it, the site will go live as a university resource.

The goal will be to put this information into what is currently in the footer of all our schools sites.  Currently there is a list of links that are basically repeating the same information as the links found in the header.  The students and campus links really don't get used anymore in the footer so we will replace those links with the Paths to Well-being; Who We Are; and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).  The footer will become a repository for resources instead to help students find things. We are not going to get rid of all resources in the footer just the replicated items from the top of the page and get people to resources they will find useful.  This will be on all pages in the site so the viewer will have access to these resources regardless of what page they entered via search engine.  This will be placed in all SOLE sites and ideally all the school sites across the campus because this is a goal of the wellness resources initiative.

School of Pharmacy Who We Are (About Us) Page

We have been working the "Who We Are" section for the school of pharmacy website ( https://cdn.hsc.wvu.edu/CustomDesigns/Pharmacy2021/About-LP-2023 ).  This mock up was based upon the Canva link Christa shared and and we sent Matt some additional feedback that he will integrate into the page.  We are basically injecting the DEI material into the about us page to make it more inviting and more of a marketing piece for the school.

Shawn showcased the link as a work in progress and this is what we have so far.  There will be changes on color and flow but the content is based upon what we were sent.  Once we have this page in place where it is ready to launch we can take some time to do a final review.

When people click on the "about us" link they would arrive at this new page.  We might add some additional links to the "Who We Are" page if we want to get people out to other resources that might have been missed.  We will talk with Christa next time we meet about the plan to launch that page to replace the current about us page.

Christa wanted to know if we were going to include the other DEI committee listing along with the "our stories" section and news.  This will go onto a DEI specific sub page under the Who We Are page.  Shawn mentioned that when we have a more final version of it we could even send it to her in an email beforehand.

Upcoming School of Pharmacy Commencement

Shawn mentioned that when we next meet it might be time to start talking about commencement pieces for the website.  Christa needs to think about who they are going to profile.  While the school has many great stories, very seldom do they have a single appropriate story that is clearly the one to market.  She will need to choose a story to showcase.

New School of Pharmacy Residency Homepage

Shawn then asked about the pharmacy residency homepage and if she has heard any feedback from the stakeholders.

The only issues were voiced in an email reply and they wanted the following content-related items taken care of on the sub pages.  Daniel O'neil commented that the only thing needing an update was on the Residency students page ( https://pharmacy.wvu.edu/students/residency-programs/ ) and programs page ( https://pharmacy.hsc.wvu.edu/residency-program/programs/ )  We need to have WVU Medicine changed to WVU Hospitals.  Bill asked if this meant that the heading on the residency-programs page "WVU Medicine pharmacy programs"  gets changed to "WVU Hospital programs".

Bill offered to forward the email from Daniel O'neil to Shawn and Dan.  Christa will let him know that this is being worked on.
