- Launch the Community page next Thursday morning. ITS change request figured out. Present that to a whole bunch of people who doesn't care or know about it. No objections. Plan is to have Dan and Shawn discuss beforehand. Excited to get that page up. Dan got to do some Medicine refreshes, continuing with Nursing. Following launch, have some talks about refreshing some other parts of the site in October.
- What pieces work better as featured pieces? following return.
- Opportunity to talk about the community stuff we're doing, how they relate to the campus initiatives at a higher level. Global diversity vs. West Virginia diversity. Build ecosystems.
- Wendy showed the page to DEI community. Organic way to show ways the school is working on diversity in different ways.
- Shawn: difficult to discuss diversity in a more national sense is tough because of how racially homogeneous the university and the school is. Opportunity to talk more about things that are applicable to the school.
- Wendy: homeless population. Work with MUSHROOM and drives, medical support.
- Shawn: Nursing and Dentistry make resources available to those who might not have access to them.
- Wendy: likes ability to link to existing content, but can see this as a place for Study Abroad initiatives.
- Shawn: can be buried.
- Shawn: giving Bill work. Lots of campus-wide initiatives happening at once. How can we feature these things? Spotlight. Having things in the pipeline for slow periods. Might be a good idea for Bill and the comms team to pick out some non-time sensitive things to be featured at a Health level.
- Wendy: gives her home page feature content ideas as well.
- Shawn: instead of waiting for the next newsworthy item to come up; no one just goes to a website directly at a random time; is directed from social and other channels.
- Student worker throughout the summer, someone as a go-to to write some things and free up Wendy to think about some bigger picture things.
- Google Tags? Shawn will get it added this afternoon. Actually, right now in the meeting.
- Set up a meeting between Wendy and Bill to go over the Google Ad analytics.
- New issue of the magazine pretty much done and ready, just waiting on UR reviews.
- Found out the school is 86 in the US News and World Report for undergraduate program.
- Wendy will send the current and new Community to dean.
- Go ahead and let recruitment and others know about tuition being updated next week.
- Updates to the broader university Tuition.
- Centrally incorporate online program? Explore bringing those costs
