November 4, 2021 Meeting

Notes

Google Analytics

Bill is building a Google Analytics dashboard for each school. Smaller chunks of Google Analytics data will be presented in each school's area of Cabin.

Undergraduate Programs

We reviewed the addition of the video clips section to each new program template. Zane will provide the default video clips to display when a program doesn't have enough video clips to fill this area.

We also reviewed the mockup of reusing the "tracks" card from the major pages to present the “Histotechnologists” and “Medical Laboratory Scientists” items in the “Who You Are” area on the Biomedical Laboratory Diagnostics page. Dan will make this change to the Biomedical Laboratory Diagnostics page in Umbraco.

Exercise Physiology

Evie is working with the Exercise Physiology group to address concerns with their updated pages.

MD Tuition

Lauren Wamsley reached out regarding the un-styled and outdated tuition pages under the MD Admission section. We agreed that the tuition for the MD Program should be displayed under the main tuition area of the website and any relevant links can be displayed with this tuition information.

Alumni

Cassie, Zane, Wendy, Bill, and Tyler met with the alumni group this morning to discuss refreshing the alumni section of the website ahead of their upcoming campaign in March 2022.

Radiology

The department of Radiology requested the ability to list Directory profiles with added information. This group is working on gathering this additional information.

Recipe blog

The Culinary and Lifestyle Medicine Track group requested a "blog" structured area to post and categorized recipes from their students, with the ability to search by tags like "breakfast" and "diabetic". The updated SOLE news application will include a new post type for blog entries, and the Undergraduate Blog structure could be used for this in the interim.

While the updated SOLE news application is being built, this group will fix the content in the rest of their website and flush out what content they plan to have for the blog.

Fellowships

We reviewed the page that lists fellowships under the Department of Medicine and decided that fellowships should be listed by section rather than listing only the fellowships. Also, Cassie suggested adding an area after the list of fellowships with messaging about living in Morgantown and working at WVU.

Zane will provide the default video clips to display when a program doesn't have enough video clips to fill the video clips area of each fellowship page and he will provide updated messaging for the "About Morgantown" area.

Departments and Programs

We briefly discussed the concerns about the structure of and the amount of items on the Departments and Programs page along with the naming of these items. We agreed to review this page and meet in the next few weeks to discuss potential solutions.

Research

Cassie mentioned that the department level research pages are the next pages to be updated, specifically for the Department of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry. Updating these pages will help to provided information to display on the top level Research page.

Publications

Departments have expressed the need to present the top faculty publications in their websites. Shawn suggested that these groups organize and update the publications for each faculty member in their Directory profiles, and then these publications can be pulled from each Directory profile to display in each website.
