Homepage

We reviewed the initial mockup and ideas for updating the homepage which includes the ability to choose from different layouts for the hero area and the ambition to customize the entire homepage based on a particular audience or theme.

Cassie mentioned that their group doesn't have the capabilities to keep up with updating a homepage like this and that their focus is currently set on writing faculty stories than selling points for the website. She would prefer that the hero area become more static and mission focused with everything below it becoming jumping out points.

Accessibility

Shawn relayed to the group that website accessibility is becoming more of a focus for the University and that the web group is currently taking on the burden of editors in the School of Medicine causing accessibility issues.

Events

Cassie, Zane, and Sam need to be trained on how to use the new events module.

Clinics

We reviewed the mockup for displaying phone hours with the clinic number on the Speech, Language, and Hearing Clinic page.
