Cassie met with Becky and Leslie to discuss the Strategic Compass website.
They are confused about not seeing breadcrumbs and how to navigate back to the main Strategic Compass page from a subpage. The main Strategic Compass is directly under the School of Medicine website, similar to a department, so there isn't a need for breadcrumbs when you can click the logo at the top to go to the School of Medicine home page. Also, with the large gold header area and the overlaying video, we will need to find a creative way to include breadcrumbs The link above the page title is the link back to the Strategic Compass page.
They inquired about adding text below the page title in the gold header on each page. Cassie told them that she wasn't sure that would be possible.
Main page
They want to display the mission and vision (With the rest of the copy?) above the video rather than starting the page off with the video.
They want to add a news area at the bottom that lists news from all of the tags throughout and name this "Bringing strategy to life".
They requested that the strategic priority icons be changed back to match the icons in the brochure.
Priority pages
On each priority page (Educate, Discover, and Heal) they want to display the description/tagline above the video rather than starting the page off with the video.
They also want to add an area under the listed goals for "Strategic Actions" to briefly talk about how they have ongoing projects until they actually have ongoing projects to list.
On the Educate page, they want to change the "Areas of Measurement" heading to "Strategic Actions", which I anticipated them not liking what I put here, and Cassie asked if this heading can become editable because they will probably want to change this again because they can't decide for sure.
Projects
The funding for projects is being announced. They anticipate having "projects" to list sometime in December and these projects are more like grants but not full grants ("mini grants"). These are basically just awarded funds.
Cassie inquired about reusing the research grants template from the WVU Health Research Grants. Dan will bring this up to Shawn and Tara's group.
Cassie will show the Strategic Compass website with all of these edits made on September 9th.
