9/3/2020 Meeting

Notes

Department Residents Template

We discussed the residents template for departments. Cassie and Zane are going to work on messaging for an area in this template for information to promote WVU and Morgantown and to link to the school's residents section. We discussed options for enabling and disabling this information for each department, and potentially creating clusters of information for each department to choose from.

Cassie said that the "clips" from faculty, staff, and residents will be provided as video clips. As the clips will need to be uploaded to YouTube, Cassie's group will work with each department group to figure out where and how these video clips get uploaded.

Each department has been reaching out to Zane to help with structuring the residency content in each of their sections.

Note: Cassie has received the list of residency programs from Dr. Ferrari and we haven't received anything in regards to listing undergraduate and professional programs to complete the new Departments and Programs page.

Virtual Tour

Dave Ryan is leading the project to have various areas of the Health Sciences building captured by Andy Johanson to be viewed via Google Maps Street View. A part of this project is for the School to use the street view to build a "virtual tour". Dave said that Andy has finished capturing the various areas and that Shawn and Dan need to discuss next steps with Dave and Andy. The "virtual tour" in this website needs to be completed by October 1st. Cassie asked that we let her know whether we will be able to meet this deadline with the virtual tour partially built or all completely built.

Department of Medicine

The "Pulmonary Critical Care and Sleep Medicine" group wants to add information about an upcoming event and about their USA Today ranking. Haleigh and Cassie suggested that they add this information to the main content rather than in an area beside the main content. With this, we've enabled this group to add basic images to the main content.

Neuroscience

Cassie will check-in with Shawn next week about the status of a new Neuroscience website.
