7/1/2021 Meeting

Notes

Fellowships

We reviewed the initial templates for the fellowship pages for each department. Departments with multiple fellowships will have an "in-between" template that lists fellowships and each individual fellowship will have its own template.

Cassie requested that the video clips area be moved higher up on the page just after the initial embedded video and overview.

We will begin with using these templates for information about fellowships in the Department of Medicine website. Each section within this department has fellowships, and the department needs to have a page that lists all of these fellowships.

Zane and Hannah are working on information to promote working at WVU and about living in Morgantown.

Information about the Geriatric Medicine Fellowship at Harpers Ferry in the Eastern Campus section will be moved to a "Fellowships" tab in the main navigation.

Undergraduate, Professional, and Graduate Programs

Cassie and Evie will begin reviewing the updated pages and sections with each program starting in the second week of July.

Before then, we will add options to change the background of a few of the sections to an alternative color or pattern or to a photo overlay.

Cassie also asked that Shawn and Dan provide insight into why updating these templates is better...

Department of Medicine Current Residents

By default, residents are listed alphabetically on the Department of Medicine's Chief Residents page. The option to "Sort by User ID/Feed URL List Order" will be added to the "SOM - Residents & Fellows Listing" page type in Umbraco so that editors can choose the order that residents or fellows are listed by the order the each "User ID" is entered into the "User ID or Feed URL" field.

News

Cassie mentioned that groups within the school will often submit news stories from a secondary category to the primary School of Medicine category in SOLE News and Cassie will need to deny the submission so that she can recreate the story under a more applicable secondary category, like "Internal". The user group who submitted the story will be notified that they the submission was denied and they won't be notified that a new version of the story is created.

We will keep this issue in mind when we're working on the way that stories are submitted in the SOLE News rebuild this summer, and we will potentially add more notifications for any way that a story is updated.
