Virtual Tour
Dave is meeting with Andy on Friday, January 15th to discuss the missing links and any areas that still need to be captured.
We agreed that we will include the program name in the label for each stop in the undergraduate and professional programs virtual tour per Evie's request, and that we can either adjust the labels or duplicate the stops if other groups need to highlight them.
Labs
Sergiy Yakovenko in Exercise Physiology requested a personal lab website. We agree that there is a need for faculty lab information in our websites, especially for information that can't be added to a Directory profile. We discussed the requirements for the current faculty labs under the Department of Neuroscience and the Department of Biochemistry, and that information entered via Umbraco should not replace information in a Directory profile.
Undergraduate and Professional Programs Template Updates
We reviewed progress of the following mock-ups:
- Undergraduate Programs (Program listing)
- Graduate Programs (Program listing)
- Professional Programs (Program listing)
- Biomedical Laboratory Diagnostics (Program that focuses on a single major)
- Division of Exercise Physiology (Program with multiple majors)
We talked through the differences between a "division" and a stand-alone program and the paths that users will take to get to information in each.
We came to the consensus that the word "division" is not an official designation and seems to typically be assigned to a program with multiple majors (bachelors, masters, PhD, etc.). That said, we agreed that regardless of whether a program focuses on a single major or multiple majors, the content and structure should be consistent.
