10/7/2021 Meeting
Notes
Fellowships
Zane will provide the content for a fourth box on the Advance your career at WVU page for information about careers, links to job sites (WVUM, WVU, Research Corps, etc.), and a mention of dual career program.
Department level fellowship pages
- We agreed to place the WVU grid pattern in the background of the first blue area on the department level fellowship pages.
- Department level fellowship pages will have the option to display a video in place of a hero image.
- We agreed to reuse the "Mountaineers know West Virginia University is special." area from the department level residency template to replace the Who We Are area in the department level fellowship templates.
Cassie approved the department level fellowship template to be added as a new page type in Umbraco and we will add this new page type to the Department of Medicine first.
Undergraduate Programs
We agreed to add a video clips section to each new program page below the "What You'll Do" area for the profile and director messages that Hannah is assembling.
We also agreed to reuse the "tracks" card from the major pages to present the “Histotechnologists” and “Medical Laboratory Scientists” items in the “Who You Are” area on the Biomedical Laboratory Diagnostics page.
Physical Therapy
Ralph Utzman reported several broken links in the Physical Therapy website, and these broken links have since been resolved.
Transitional Year
We will restructure the Transitional Year page to display the video clips higher on the page, along with adding an additional video clips area to display the vides for each of the 6 residency programs.
Eastern campus fellowships
Sam mentioned that the Eastern campus will want to add information about fellowships to their section of the website in the near future.
He also mentioned that transitioning the Residents page in the Rural Health Medicine website went smoothly and that the group is happy with the page.
Charleston campus
Bill and the School of Medicine marketing group visited the Charleston campus last month. Bill will help with updating the content in the Charleston campus website.
Research
Cassie mentioned that the department level research pages are the next pages to be updated. Updating these pages will help to provided information to display on the top level Research page.
Zane mentioned an upcoming idea for managing publications.
Shawn mentioned that there may be a few rogue "lab" websites that will need to be added as new lab pages under various department websites.
