What We Discussed
- Student Recruitment Video - Dave mentioned that he and Sunshine worked to set up a recruitment video and are hoping that the content will be enough to also add profiles to the website as well.
- Andy/Photography - Dave needs Shawn and Dan to meet up with he and Andy to figure out what the plan is for this touring tool thing.
- Tuition - Sunshine has been getting inquiries about tuition and where it stands. We let her know that there is a plan down the pipeline and it is on Shawn's radar.
- Academic Affairs Meeting - Sunshine mentioned she met with Academic Affairs and they're looking for some web changes. She is going to write up a synopsis and send it to us to give us a better idea.
- Coronavirus Announcements - Sunshine wanted to make sure that she has been updating this area correctly after seeing Dave's e-mail to all the communicators. We assured her that she has been doing fine keeping up with things and it was more of a general blanket statement letting communicators know that it is their responsibility to keep up with this section of the website and is highly important.
- Communication Research - Dave mentioned that they've been doing a lot of work with Donna Kasich to get data about students and how they're using the web, etc. He said the plan is to roll that out with SoD and SPH as sort of the guinea pigs for this project.
- Alumni Jobs - Sunshine said she recently unpublished the page. The process was being bogged down by being passed through multiple mediums. She mentioned that maybe it is something that perhaps should be posted/pushed on social instead but isn't really sure where to take this. We let her know that a lot of our websites struggle with job postings and figuring out what is actually relevant and also keeping everything up to date. We said we would revisit the area hopefully in the coming year and see if there's anything we can do for those sections, whether it be a new approach or just a tweak.
- The Foundation - Sunshine says they are starting a campaign and their content is being created (by others). They seem to be pushing Sunshine to give them more exposure on the Dentistry website. They have their own website but seem to not be keeping up with it at all. She's not sure to how to handle it. She has added a few content pages to the Alumni section to help and mitigate it.
- Analytics - Dave has asked that for our next meeting that we do an analytics deep dive to help provide information for Donna and recruitment. We told him that we could certainly take a look and see if there's anything that jumps out at us.
- Collaborative Web Site Competition - Dave suggested we get together and screenshare some of our competition and see what's going on with their web presences. We did mention to him that we typically do a lot of that scoping in our time, and that if they see anything they can definitely pass it along to us.
