- Dean Panchuta - The new dean has officially started working!
- Rethinking Bios/Profiles - Sunshine mentioned that some of the staff/professors she's working with are including more targeted intros (language supporting various topics ex feminism, immigration, lgbtqia+, etc.), and we were really interested in it. Sunshine was thinking she could highlight these as quotes.
- Shawn suggested these may fit under Who We Are, and potentially a page that would have a list of people organized by their particular targeted category/common ground/interests. The idea that we can use this to reach more people is really cool. Creating common ground allows people to more easily relate and identify, as well as establish connections.
- He also suggested we could take it a step further, and potentially add some of this extra information to directory cards.
- Sunshine referenced advance.wvu.edu, and we really liked the language used in their profiles - "contributions to the team"
- Sunshine said she would reach out to some of the committees.
- Virtual Tour - Sunshine noticed the bit of wonkiness, as well as missing connections - Shawn explained that the situation is a little hairy right now, generally speaking. But at this point it's a bit out of our control. He is going to talk to Tara more about this and will keep Sunshine updated.
- New News - Shawn told Sunshine that we will be working on revamping the news system this year. He asked that she think about things she likes/dislikes about the current News system and share any improvements she can think of.
