What We Discussed
- Donuts. We talked a lot about donuts.
- WVU Dental
- WVU Medicine - We discussed working with Yetta to have the WVU Medicine website update all their dental stuff to point to the new website. They needed to add a few services to their list, but she made all the changes we asked for.
- Payment / Fees Pages - We all looked it over and suggested perhaps combining the Fees page and the Payment Policy Page. They are both such a similar topic, and it's hard to tell what the differences would be between them were they to stay separate. Once this is done, we'll make appropriate changes to any place buttons references are hard-coded to point the pages separately. We will also update the Patient Resources page since they are two separate boxes at this time.
- Directions Maps - We all discussed the Google Maps embeds on location pages. We decided to add a second button at the end of the section that links to the actual marker on Google Maps. You can access this through clicking "View Larger Map" in the embed, but I worry it isn't quite apparent enough that you need to go there to get any further information. Sunshine agreed with us on this. Sunshine said after we do that, she can likely go through and get rid of some of the directions she had added due to the original confusion of the map markers. We also discussed adding "Valet" to the indoor map, but Sunshine clarified that they actually do not participate in valet.
- PDF / Unreadable Content Updates - Sunshine let us know that all the changes we asked for to make Forms and Policies items accessible are complete. She also let us know that she did check with someone on the ones branded with WVU Medicine stuff. She was told they need to stay that way, which is fine with us as long as she checked with the people who need to know, and the files are accessible. Any other items requested to change to Content Pages were completed by Sunshine.
- URL Issues - The .com URL is now working, and seems to be resolved. We also made it so if someone adds "www.", they will get sent to the site instead of an error page.
What to Expect from Us
- (By our next meeting) - Payment / Fees Combining Cleanup - We will go through and make sure anywhere that references them separately and is hard-coded is updated. We will also update the Patient Resources page since they are two separate boxes at this time.
- (By our next meeting) - Directions Maps Update - We will add the button to Google Maps as discussed.
What We Need from You
- (By our next meeting) - Payment / Fees Pages - Combine the Payment Policy and Fees pages into a single page, and delete the left overs.
- (By our next meeting) - Directions Maps Update - Once we complete this, feel free to go into each location page and clear out content you now find unnecessary since updating the markers.
