Headline: Keeping West Virginia safe, together.
All West Virginia University students, faculty and staff who are above the age of 18, including Beckley and Keyser campuses, are now eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Students and employees who reside outside of West Virginia also are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine at this time.
Receiving a COVID-19 vaccination will help protect ourselves, our families, and our communities. It will help save lives. COVID-19 vaccines are designed to work with our immune systems so the body is ready to fight the virus if we are exposed to it. When enough people in a community get vaccinated against COVID-19, immunity rates in our communities substantially increase, which reduces the spread of the virus.
Even after receiving a vaccine, we must remember to take precautions to protect those who are not vaccinated.
Sidebar: For students and employees who have yet to be vaccinated, or have yet to schedule an appointment to be vaccinated but wish to do so, please fill out this survey to express interest in receiving a vaccine. They should monitor their WVU email and phones for additional instructions.
