November 2, 2021 Meeting

Notes

Google Analytics

Bill is making the adjustments to the Google Analytics dashboard based on the feedback from Shawn and Dan. He is also creating the smaller Google Analytics components using Google Data Studio to display in Cabin.

Creating this Google Analytics dashboard will help to fulfill specific requests from the School of Medicine, notably from the Graduate Medical Education and Medical Degree program groups.

Addiction website

Bill is working through the final edits to the addiction website content. It will be beneficial to utilize the upcoming Newsroom application to highlight relevant information in the new addiction website.

Resources

We reviewed the mockups of adding a space to the Resources page for links to the Campus Mental Health website, the BeWell website, and other wellness and mental health related resources, along with restructuring the bottom area of the front page of the Health website to include links to these new resources, in addition to continuing to link to news, giving, and each campus section.

These updates will be made to the corresponding pages in Umbraco by the end of this week.

We broadly discussed the familiarity with listing resources, including "about us" pages, in the footer rather than listing these types of pages in the top navigation. The information in "about us' and "who we are" sections may be combined into a single section in the future.

STEPS

The STEPS group is working through strategic and operational planning including identifying the needs of their internal and external audiences.

An aesthetic refresh of the website is planned for January or February 2022 which includes using the new events module to highlight the various activities happening in STEPS throughout each week and month.

Internal email campaigns along with messaging in each school website about the way that students use the STEPS facility can be used to increase awareness about STEPS.

Museum

While the Health Sciences museum is finished being built, we will start preparing a space for information about the museum under the Morgantown Campus section of the Health website.

We expect to provide information about the museum on the website including the background of the museum, donor information, and how to visit the museum along with more engaging elements including video and highlighted artifacts.

Inspiration will be drawn from larger city museum websites including Carnegie museums and MSI Chicago. Tyler will capture photos of the museum to put on the website ahead of the museum opening.

Return to Campus

University Relations will start archiving the information on the Return to Campus website near the end of this year, and the mask mandate may be lifted completely ahead of the next semester.

Tuition

Communicators and program staff need to discuss tuition concerns with Eric Meadows.
