Commencement

The commencement website is updated and has 5 School of Nursing profiles. The University has created the live stream videos on YouTube for each ceremony and each video should become live 15 minutes before the ceremony begins. University Relations also released the social media toolkit for commencement.

The website will be featured in the HSC Weekly newsletter tomorrow.

Tara suggested choosing a new photo to display with the commencement messaging on the Home page.

Addiction website

The upcoming addiction website will launch after commencement. Jess and Bill are actively updating the website.

Shawn and Dan will look through the photos that Bill shared for the website and earmark which photos that will fit the website best.

Departments and Programs

The Departments and Programs page in the School of Medicine website is built and fully functional.

One point of point of contention with this page is that the Department of Human Performance needs to be represented, however, this department does not have enough of a presence to justify creating a full-fledged department website. Shawn is proposing that a new type of department page is added for Human Performance that includes only the list of associated programs and very rigidly structured resources.

MD Program

Shawn, Dan, and the School of Medicine communications group met with the MD Program group last week.

We agreed that it will be best to start from scratch and rethink the structure of the MD Program section overall. Similar to the workflow for building the new undergraduate, graduate, and professional program sections, we will begin with a proposed template concept of how we think that the section should be structured. This will include elevating certain areas of the MD Student Services section to better support recruitment and admissions and to showcase culture.

Events module

Rachel is currently working with the lead programmer to properly filter and list events in the upcoming events module.

WVU Calendar

We all agreed with Jess's suggested using tags in WVU Calendar to categorize events for each department in a school (School of Medicine) rather than creating a separate department/calendar for each group. She will reach out to Jay Allen regarding this new workflow.

Research Grants

Bill has not yet received the additional grant amount and time frame information for the Nurse AMIE in Rural PA and WV project.
