Addiction website
Shawn let the group know that the upcoming addiction website is completely built in Umbraco and that Matt is continuing to make a few refinements.
Bill mentioned that he is working with Aira to create a few graphics for the website and he shared the development URL with her. She is currently taking the time to digest the language and aesthetics of the website to create the appropriately style graphics.
Bill is working with Brian Persinger to capture photography for the website.
Hub
Bill is currently working through migrating other Health-level internal websites from HSC Themes into Hub and he feels that he is ready to assist school communicators with moving school-level internal content into Hub.
Shawn suggested working with Sunshine first to migrate the School of Dentistry's internal content into Hub including migrating content from their current "intranet" website that will be shutting down once the content is moved.
Research grants
Shawn and Dan are working on creating a mockup of a simple page type under the Health website to present information about individual research grants. The idea is to start simple and extend these pages if necessary.
Media resources
Last week, Bill inquired about restructuring the Resources page under the Health website to include media resources, similar to the coronavirus.wvu.edu Media Resources page.
Rather than restructuring this page, we agreed to create a new page under the Communication area for Media Resources that is almost identical to the coronavirus.wvu.edu Media Resources page. Tara suggested linking to the campus' YouTube channel rather than listing videos on the page.
As discussed in our last meeting, we will also place a version of the home page content plan with notable WVU and Health topics, events, and dates under the Communication area of the website.
Match Day
Jess shared the messaging and chosen photo for Match Day (March 18, 2022) via Slack. Dan will have information on the Health home page by then.
Shawn and Dan will check with Cassie and Zane to find out whether they have anything in mind to present on the website for Match Day.
As Zoom will be used again for the Match Day event this year, Tyler suggested to them that they stream the live feed to social media.
Health Sciences news
Jess and Tara discussed the relevance of displaying the date with each listed news story on the Health news page and they've decided that the campus is currently generating enough news as a whole that the date should be displayed with every listed news story.
Dan will make this adjustment in the template.
Diversity
Dan will update the “Read more about the campus wide efforts.” link at the top of the Diversity page.
Virtual tour
Tyler is revisiting creating a virtual tour. His vision is to create a slideshow of 6+ photos of each space with brief descriptions.
Shawn suggested pairing brief student testimonials about how they worked in each space and highlighting philanthropic contributions and notable technology.
Tyler recently uploaded photos of the School of Pharmacy skills lab to the Health Smugmug.
MD program tuition
The MD program group is working with Eric Meadows to find the best way for them to present their tuition. Eric pointed them to a WVU Financial Aid website that organizes tuition costs similar to the way that the School of Medicine presents tuition costs.
