WVU Calendar
Jess talked to Jay Allen about using tags in WVU Calendar to categorize events for each department in a school (School of Medicine) rather than creating a separate department/calendar for each group.
After Jess creates the desired tags in WVU Calendar for each department, we will work with the programming team to replace each department checkbox item under "Show Categories" with the new tags in the school's calendar page. The time frame for making this update is contingent on programmer availability.
Once a tag is added to an event, it will show up again as a suggested tag move forward, and the administrators who approve each event will need to double check that the tag is correct upon approval.
Welcome Week
We will build a Welcome Week presence in the WVU Health website including links to BeWell, maps, Diversity, Clay's blog, social media ("share with us"), etc. and with messaging around "Welcome to your WVU Health community".
Tara inquired about updating the figures on the Your Morgantown Experience page. In the long term, Shawn envisions this page being moved to fit within the WVU Health structure and aesthetic, and with the ability for Jess and Bill to make edits to it.
Tuition
While we are waiting on a few answers from Paula and Dixie regarding tuition, Shawn wants to move forward with building the updated templates now to provide them with the concept to review.
Addiction
The addiction.wvu.edu domain is now pointing to new addiction website.
Virtual Tour
Tyler is currently working on an overall Health Sciences virtual tour video which will include clips of WVU Medicine facilities. Tyler is working with WVU Medicine to gather existing video clips rather than needing to capture anything new.
Grants
We briefly reviewed the lightened color scheme change to the pages in the Grants section. This update provides more opportunities to create various animated background graphics and makes this section feel more welcoming.
Dan will add the provided "focus" options for each grant in Umbraco.
Newsroom
The Newsroom application is close to being in a place to show it to Tara, Jess, and Bill. Once this application is completed, this group will provide training and training materials to the communicators and editors.
