July 26, 2022 Meeting

Notes

Health Affairs

The Health Affairs group reached out about finding a way to display their logo in their email signature. Shawn suggests that they work with University Relations to make sure the Health Affairs wordmark is approved and provide guidance for displaying the logo image in their email signature.

Microsoft Clarity

The Microsoft Clarity tracking was added to the WVU Health website to gather page-level analytics. Some of the features and data include clicked links ranked by most clicked to least clicked and the average distance that users scroll on each page. Using Microsoft Clarity will be very beneficial in providing data-driven visuals to make and reinforce layout and design decisions.

Communication Guide

Jess has begun working on the Communication Guide.

WVU Health website

Jess will provide photos and content to update throughout the 5 main pages of the WVU Health website, including testimonials and figures of the number of residents practicing across the state.

Student Health

Jess will set up a meeting with the people involved in the student health information to discuss moving this content under the WVU Health website.

Open Graph

We are working on expanding on what we do with open graph in each website, which is the the information that is presented when a link is found in search results or shared on social media. Our plan is to break up the "SEO & Navigation" tab for each page in Umbraco into two new tabs "Navigation" and "Social & SEO". This new "Social & SEO" tab will provide fields to customize this open graph information including designating images and thoughtful descriptions.

Tyler will provide his social media guidelines and needs to customizing this information.

Tyler also inquired about adding the ability to display more information with an embedded YouTube video including chapters.
