7/13/2021 Meeting

Notes

Health Promotion and Wellness

Shawn expressed that while the goals of the Health Promotion and Wellness website align with University-wide initiatives, the University Relations group doesn't have the capacity to create a website beyond only a large list of resources. This website should be built to be dynamic and easy to update with relevant resources at a given time.

Shawn, Wendy, Tara, and the University Relations group will meet with the people involved in Health Promotion and Wellness to determine the future direction of this project.

The web group is putting this project on hold for the time being.

Diversity

We briefly reviewed the "cards" component added to the action page type (Taking a Stand Against Racism), and the new "All Who Served" tag and theme for cards with information for veterans.

Resources

Tara and Wendy will review the resources in our school-level Welcome Week pages and decide which resources, if any, should be listed on the Health Sciences Resources page.

Tara suggested that any internal-facing resources be listed in a central area in the Health Sciences Hub.

Events

Shawn provided a progress update for the new way of adding events in Umbraco. The Van Liere Research Conference (August 8-12, 2021) (postponed - via email) will be the first large event to use this new way of adding events.

Photo and video ideas for STEPS

We discussed ideas for photos and videos in STEPS. Tyler can capture close-up stills and footage of engaging equipment in STEPS including mannequins, laparoscopic surgery, etc. Any media captured in STEPS can also be used in social media.

Health Sciences & Technology Academy

Wendy mention that all of the content for the new HSTA website is in Umbraco.

Matt added the new ability to create better profiles under every website using HSC Themes, and we've began transitioning the Featured Scholars profiles for AHEC to use this updated way of adding profiles.
