12/7/2020 Meeting

Notes

Virtual Tour

The web group compiled a list of spaces to be captured and which spaces have URLs along with other discrepancies. Andy needs to provide these URLs as we're not capable of finding and labelling each space.

The marketing and web groups will meet to discuss next steps for the virtual tour(s).

Cabin

The user interface of Cabin was updated and activity, meetings, and tasks are separated into tabs to help better organize these items. Shawn explained that our intention is for Cabin to become a dashboard that includes an overview of data about the website from Google Analytics and Audit.

He also explained that we're working to make Audit focus more on the health of each website, and to help guide communicators and editors with creating better content by automatically detecting issues and providing helpful resources for resolving each issue.

Addiction Website

Wendy and Dave are finalizing the content for the upcoming addiction website project. Shawn suggested adding media toolkits to the website to easily find and download media resources. Tara suggested that this be similar to the Coronavirus Media Resources page.

News System Update

Tara brought up that the marketing group is hoping that a News System update can be fit into the schedule of projects in 2021, along with resolving Listserv frustrations. We briefly talked about a more standard editor, improving the way categories are used, improving the way that images are selected, aggregating related news in the editor, and media kits.

Shawn said that he will be talking to Jimmy and Erin about making this project a priority in 2021.

Health Sciences Messaging

Dave will provide the "Thank You" messaging for the Health Sciences front page by the end of this week or early next week. Tara mentioned that Clay’s December purpose message is a good resource.

Coronavirus Vaccine

Wendy is working on content about the Coronavirus vaccine to add to a new page in the Coronavirus website. The content will include an FAQ, media, and resources.

Diversity Actions

We reviewed the starting point for listing diversity actions and everyone agreed with moving forward with this direction while WVU Health and the schools work on developing future actions. Shawn suggested adding a space to list actions from each school.
