10/19/2021 Meeting

Notes

Diversity Week

We will post the recordings from two Diversity Week events on a page under the Diversity website. Tyler will add these recordings to YouTube and create a playlist in YouTube to be able to feed the videos into the page.

Campus photos

Tyler will capture photos of the campus to share with Aira as references to create new patterns. He will also capture updated "campus life" photos to add to our repository of photography to use throughout our websites and in news.

Google Analytics dashboard

Shawn and Dan will meet with Bill later this week to provide feedback about the Google Analytics dashboard that Bill is building in Google Data Studio and to discuss creating the smaller Google Analytics components using Google Data Studio to display in Cabin.

Addiction website

Bill is working through the final edits to the addiction website content.

Discover Day

Wendy and Tyler will create print material to hand out and digital material to share via email to inform Discover Day attendees about the "way-finder" maps on the info stations and the maps on the HSC Indoor Maps website.

Newsroom application

The web group began working on the updated news application, Newsroom, this week. When the application is ready to be tested, Tara's group will begin adding news stories to it to be fed into the live website.

In the Newsroom application, editors will have the ability to choose the appropriate post type from various types of posts including a news story, announcement, blog post, etc.

Shawn outlined how topics will be used to create curated collections of stories to align with the objectives of the Health Sciences campus.

In the meantime, the current Health Sciences News section will be updated to a Health Sciences Newsroom section using the current News system.

Events

The new events module is slated to be completed and implemented in the Health website and the school websites in November.

Clay's website

Tara mentioned that her group has started working on updates for Clay's area of the Health website.

Health Sciences Museum

While the Health Sciences museum is finished being built, we will start preparing a space for information about the museum under the Morgantown Campus section of the Health website.

We expect to provide information about the museum on the website including the background of the museum, donor information, and how to visit the museum. Tyler will capture photos of the museum to put on the website ahead of the museum opening.

Tara suggested also mentioning the museum on the STEPS website since a training manikin will be on display in the museum.

Shawn came up with the idea to feature stories about some of the artifacts on the website ("the story behind the artifact") to showcase the museum and to promote philanthropy.

Resources

Wendy inquired about adding links to the Campus Mental Health website, the BeWell website, and other wellness and mental health related resources to the Resources page.

We agreed to create a space on the Resources page for links to these resources and we will restructure the bottom area of the front page of the Health website to include links to these new resources, including the Health Sciences museum page, in addition to continuing to link to news, giving, and each campus section.

Tara wants the group to start working on content to update the community section of the Health website which will also include links to wellness and mental health related resources. This section of the website will also highlight wellness from a Health Sciences perspective along with Clay's "purpose" messages.

Health Sciences home page

We agreed to move the COVID-19 guidelines messaging above the Diversity Week promotional area on the front page. Bill and Wendy will update the COVID-19 guidelines copy.
